MONTEREY, CA - The eager-to-learn team of AVTS joined the enthusiastic IntelliEvent Team at the company headquarters in lovely Monterey, CA, intending to hone their skills with their newly implemented IntelliEvent Lightning. Instead of over the phone conferences or demonstration sessions, the AVTS team’s on-site visit allowed them the opportunity to take advantage of the vast knowledge of the IntelliEvent success team by discussing their questions, confusions, or misunderstandings about the software.Their three day software training seminar was full of fun, facts, and face-to-face education of the cloud-based, management software. Through this three day process, the members of the AVTS Team realized the benefits IntelliEvent Lightning brings to their company, and the unmatchable abilities the solution provides.
For multi-location companies, like AVTS, seminars similar to the one that took place this past week, are incredibly helpful for building teamwork, unity, and communication between the members involved. As stated by one of the IntelliEvent’s Success Team members, “Through their communication of being in the same room, rather than in different buildings, it’s amazing to see how applicable and beneficial the software is to addressing their problems by using the software properly.” Many times, the problems employees believe derive from the software are actually a result of a lack of communication between their fellow employees who use the software differently. Moreover, the bulletproof management software poses as an invaluable tool implemented to efficiently link employees together under the same software umbrella. Not only do seminars, such as the one with AVTS, help make the lives of employees using IntelliEvent Lightning on a daily basis easier, but it provides them with the information to properly use the software and take advantage of all it has to offer. It also helps strengthen the partnership between the two companies, which is something the IntelliEvent Team continuously strives to strengthen. In conclusion, an IntelliEvent Success Team member illustrates the priceless benefits of face-to-face seminars by saying, “The managers were absolutely sold by the software.” This past week the IntelliEvent Team busily worked away conversing, training, updating, sharing, and demoing at InfoComm 2015 in Orlando, Florida. The booth continuously had a gathering of customers and friends eagerly waiting to talk to the IntelliEvent team about the functions, benefits, and uses of the IntelliEvent Lightning cloud-based management software and IntelliEvent Express, the long term work horse product. The thriving booth enabled the IntelliEvent team to get to know partners in more depth, opened the door to peer to peer discussion of the software between existing partners, and gave IntelliEvent the opportunity to visit fellow partners’ booths as well. IntelliEvent’s CEO, Don Romeka, Marketing and Development Consultant, Joe McBride, Director of Sales, Dave Conklin, Strategic Operations Manager, Andrew Sylvia, Account Manager, Troy Blank made up the team in Orlando. Their week started with a user conference and golf tournament, followed by 3 solid days of sharing! Apart from exhibiting at the InfoComm Show Don Romeka and Dave Conklin participated in the RSN Network Dinner and Reception. Dave claims the dinner was a “great opportunity to visit existing partners and opportunity to develop relationships with future partners.” As always, the IntelliEvent Team tapped into their competitive and humorous side with some light-hearted fun. This year, Dave Conklin and Joe McBride proudly defeated Troy Blank and Andrew Sylvia in a game of minigolf, resulting in the losers, Troy and Andrew, having to open doors for Dave and Joe for the duration of the show. As expected, Joe and Dave took complete advantage of their success and made sure to express their dominance over Troy and Andrew to all of IntelliEvent’s friends. The defeat spread quickly because by the end of the show, customers, friends, and partners were teasing Troy and Andrew about their job as designated door openers for Joe and Dave. The playfulness found in each and every IntelliEvent team member exemplifies the wholesome individuals working for such a motivating company. Additionally, the constant buzz and popularity of the IntelliEvent booth at InfoComm 2015 shows the hardworking, dedicated mentality of the company. On behalf of the entire organization….We love what we do and it shows!! For over 15 years, The Masters, an auto repair shop in Monterey, California, has been running Master Repair as their auto shop management software. Of the 34 years of operation, the repair shop has been using Master Repair for more than half of their business lifetime. The Masters' Team decided about 20 years ago that they collectively felt it was time for a software to keep track of parts, costs, and transactions. Learning about the Master Repair software through a customer, The Masters' Team demoed and tested out Master Repair before deciding it was the perfect fit for their business needs.
“They met our needs. We’ve been happy with their service all this time. It’s very very helpful. I like the fact that [the Master Repair Team] provides the particular service and opportunity to fix problems” (Mary Pendlay). The automatic and efficient system has allowed the repair shop to stay at pace with their growing customer base and busy shop. The constant cycle of automobiles in and out of their shop remains organized and accounted for through the functions of the software. “We were a small business and consequently we had time for handwritten work orders. Now, with the escalation of things, you need to do and take care of other concerns. We have a greater number of employees, so it is good to have an automatic system that can be referred to with all the information ready” (Mary Pendlay). In addition to the software itself, the Master Repair Support Team shows only the utmost care and consideration in helping customers understand and utilize the software. “The response time I get from your team is very quick. I get quick responses, phone calls, and check-ins to make sure I get the results I need. I think the customer response is excellent. It’s a big deal” (Mary Pendlay).
» (Steven Vian, PDG) Easy. Efficient. Economical
Production Services Industries was founded in 1996 by Steven Vian in beautiful Toronto, Canada. Leading the industry as a supplier of Audio Visual services, equipment rentals, and installations, their switch to the new, cloud-based Intellievent Lightning has helped their bottom line skyrocket. Beginning as a small, self run event rental company, their inventory was maintained and stored without a software system in place; however, as they began to expand their customer base, they realized their need for a more efficient, organized, clearly laid out software system that records and tracks their inventory, employees, cross-rentals, and accounts. CEO, Steven Vian, describes, “Our growth for our business has been organic. We realized we needed the software because we were making mistakes. We could no longer track our inventory or where it was going, who was taking it on what show, when it was coming back, if it existed, if I sold it. There was a real disconnect between myself, my staff, and the equipment.” As business began to grow and jobs began to add up, Steven Vian could feel the lack of a management software weighing down the success of the company. Double renting specific inventory to two different customers for the same day, long and tedious quotes, miscalculations of numbers, and other miscommunications showed PSI that it was time to research inventory control software. Entering the market for event management software, Steven Vian received quotes from IntelliEvent Lightning and four other competitors. His company was looking for a solution able to track, control, and regulate the flow of inventory in and out of Production Services’ headquarters. Steven reached out to a fellow IntelliEvent user, MultiVision Inc. for their input on the product. Due to MVI’s good referral, Steven Vian decided to partner with IntelliEvent Lightning to help manage and grow his business. PSI signed with IntelliEvent Lightning in early 2014. Since the formation of the partnership, the CEO says,“We’ve really realized the benefit over the past year. Once we started implementing the software month to month we doubled our revenue - part of that is due to the fact that we have a clear representation of what a show entails from the equipment portion, the staffing, and the transportation. As soon as we saw that, our prices started to go up…with not a lot of resistance” Like anyone playing around with a new software, Steven admits to being a bit clumsy with the product in the very beginning, although, he adamantly claims it was well worth the effort. He shares,“When you think about the cost of it, it pays for itself. What I’m able to make now pays for it ten times over. As far as the cost goes, it’s irrelevant, it doesn't even factor in. It’s become an invaluable tool that allows us to make more money and see where our equipment is going”. Through open communication with his IntelliEvent account manager and the readily available Lightning support team, Production Services learned and implemented the software in very little time. IntelliEvent Lightning, a cloud-based software, diminished Steven’s tedious job of putting together quotes, sometimes taking up to 45 minutes per quote, to an amazingly efficient 5 minutes. The ability to access the software on any device allows him the flexibility to work from anywhere; “My favorite part is the ease. It’s fast. I can put a quote together in 5 minutes”. IntelliEvent Lightning not only posed as a tool to simplify PSI’s jobs and clean up formerly made common mistakes, but it also is the leading role in the company’s evident growth from 2014 to 2015 with the software. “We still only utilize 40% of how much is available in the software. My revenue has doubled. Profit is 35-45% more than it was last year at the same time”. The software gives PSI the ability to clearly define the revenue and profit they will receive when entering an event. Lightning is a system that can track a company’s gear, as well as, the cost of the equipment and how much revenue will be produced. “If you can increase sales, why wouldn’t you do it?” (Steven Vian, CEO) Eighteen Years Running
